The Learner Fund, which is currently subsidising thousands of learners who applied in 2014, has re-opened for online applications.
This fund, Learner Fund 3, offers a subsidy towards the cost of training to support existing Early Years practitioners, who wish to continue working directly with children, to attain the minimum qualification required under the revised Pre-School Regulations due to be published in the coming weeks. Eligible courses must be completed by end August 2016 and result in a full Level 5 Major Award.
Applications should be submitted by service providers on behalf of their staff members, with the staff member’s authorisation.
Learner Fund 3 is open for applications until mid-December 2015.
Pobal is responsible for managing the process to create a panel of training providers and managing the learner applications with the support of the City/ County Childcare Committees.
