The Inspectorate of the Department of Education and Skills is hosting a series of consultation seminars to discuss the progress to date on the development of a new Early Years Education-focused Inspection (EYEI) Model.
Seminars will take place in the following locations; Athlone, Carlow, Cork, Letterkenny, Dublin, Limerick, Monaghan and Sligo.
These public events are open to all those who are interested in the quality of children’s early learning experiences in Early Years services delivering the ECCE Programme (the universal free preschool programme funded by the Department of Children and Youth Affairs).
Each seminar will provide opportunity to access comprehensive information on the EYEI Model, hear the practical experiences of staff in Early Years settings who have participated in pilot inspections and discuss and provide feedback on the model. All feedback will be taken into account in finalising the EYEI model.
