To help children prepare for starting school, libraries are offering free book bags filled with specially chosen books and helpful resources.
Available from ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐, ๐ด๐๐ต ๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ at Sligo Central Library and libraries nationwide.
Each bag includes:
Two booksA library card for children who donโt already have oneA My Little Library cardholderHelpful tips and resources for parentsBags are available in both Irish and English.
Part of the ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐๐ ๐ฑ ๐ฆ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ด๐, this initiative is a collaboration between public libraries, the Department of Rural and Community Development, and the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth.
